Last week we rode out to Ponteland and looped back round into the city centre racking up just under 30 miles. Still havent managed more than 10 people but at least the participation has been consistant throughout the weeks and more people are gaining interest.
New lad Davey shredded his tyre and Andy showed off his DIY mechanic skills by managing to fix it up using half an old credit card, a pound coin and some tape. Top boy!
We aren’t planning on tonight being as intense, see you at the Tyne Bar.

From our latest leisurely jaunt to the Restrap Launch, take note guys that there is more beer than bikes
Last nights ride was slightly longer and way faster than last Weeks. Nine people showed up including a new face (Yo Jamie!). We headed to Newburn making a stop at the Keelman pub (Spotted the hilarious guy who sang that shit Journey song on X-Factor last week too… Bonus!)
It got dark real fast and we braved the sketchy paths in almost complete darkness before arriving in Wylam. After a couple of hill climbs we reached the top and began our decent through Crawcrook, Blaydon and along the Quayside back to the Tynebar for a victory pint.
Highlights included Liam throwing up along the way, the downhill into Blaydon (That road is so fun/fast) … And the X-Factor guy too (OBV’Z!)
On Sunday, death track (minus Lucas and ASAP) took a trip down to Leeds for the launch of Restraps new product range. As you may know, Restrap has been making and selling bespoke cycling products over the past few years, famous for their foot straps using ONLY recycled material. Not just that, but Restrap has been the hub for fixed gear culture in Yorkshire region.
Nathan has put a lot of thought and effort into this new line of gear. This release sees the restrap team kit, 5 & 6 panel hats (propa waxxa streetwear) as well as t-shirts. I treated myself to a six panel and a bottle holder for carrying your fixie juice.
Tim, John and Sam (all crunk).
On top of the launch they had an alleycat with a twist:
-Random teams of 3
-One person from each team to go to a checkpoint and receive a number
-Once all of the team get back to restrap HQ they use their numbers from the checkpoints to open a box with a lock combination. Inside that lies a lovely BMX inner tube, first team to blow it up WINS.
Who doesn’t like a custom painted bike? Our good friend Jonny, aka “Big Blonde” recently painted his Track Champion pink and it looks great.
